Why Generic Brand Guides Fail Ice Cream Brands
Most brand style guide templates are built for SaaS startups, agencies, or generic CPG. They give you logo rules and a color palette — then leave you to figure out the rest yourself. But ice cream is different.
Your packaging has zones a coffee bag doesn't have. Your label has compliance requirements a granola brand doesn't face. Your social feed lives or dies on product photography that looks nothing like a tech company's. And your tone of voice has to make people crave the product, not just understand it.
This template was built from the ground up for artisan ice cream makers, scoop shop operators, frozen dessert brands, and specialty CPG founders who need a brand system that actually fits their category.
What's Inside (12 Editable Slides)
01 — Brand Identity Overview Define your archetype, personality, target customer, and brand promise with a structured one-liner framework that drives every visual decision downstream.
02 — Color Palette Build a primary, secondary, and accent palette with hex codes, usage ratios (the 60/25/10/5 rule), and label-zone color limits that keep your packaging from looking chaotic on shelf.
03 — Typography System Four-tier type hierarchy — Display, Heading, Body, and Label — with size specs and legibility rules tuned for the small-print compliance copy that frozen packaging demands.
04 — Logo Usage & Placement Primary, secondary, and icon lockup specifications. Clear-space rules, minimum print sizes, and a logo "don'ts" list that prevents the most common rebrand mistakes.
05 — Packaging Label Hierarchy (the section nobody else has) Maps the five distinct zones of a pint or quart label — Principal Display Panel, Flavor Descriptor, Information Panel, Lid, and Side/Bottom — plus a parallel system for novelty bars and wrappers. Includes an 8-point FDA 21 CFR 101 compliance checklist covering Nutrition Facts formatting, allergen bold-type requirements, RACC serving sizes for frozen dairy desserts, "Keep Frozen" labeling, GTIN-14 placement, and overrun claim rules.
06 — Tone of Voice Guide A voice spectrum dial, seven do's, seven don'ts, and a brand vocabulary worksheet that turns your copy into a recognizable signature — not generic food-blog filler.
07 — Social Grid & Aesthetic Five-pillar content framework with percentage breakdowns, Instagram grid layout rules, and a TikTok/Reels content map built around how frozen desserts actually perform on social.
Bonus — Photography & Visual Style Lighting, color grading, composition, and prop rules that keep your product hero shots, lifestyle photos, and behind-the-scenes content visually consistent.

Learn a little about Secret Creamery
We are Vegas Ice Cream
Vegas is home to so many. Each of us has a story, and our story is told through ice cream. From the locally sourced Nevada milk, to supporting local bakeries, printing companies, and more, Secret Creamery embodies what it means to be Vegas Born.
We bring that all to life with unique flavors, small-batch artisan quality, and a dedication to making the best ice cream we can.
High Quality Ingredients
Our committment to quality runs deep and is part of what we founded the company on.
We use only the highest quality ingredients, including our fruit flavors. We use a pasteurized fruit puree, not just a "flavoring." Our cheese flavors use imported cheeses, like our soft goat chevre for our Blueberry Goat Cheese flavor.
Taking Ice Cream Home
One of the hallmarks of our ice cream is not adding in additional stablizers, but that does pose a SLIGHT problem. Our ice cream tends to melt quickly.
We do ask if you want to enjoy our ice cream in the comfort of your own home, please bring insulated containers with ice bricks. We do some times have ice bricks we provide at no charge, but those are on a limited basis.
Small batches, everytime
Theres two main ways to make ice cream, either in a batch freezer, or a continuious line freezer.
While we love to nerd out about ice cream science, we use the batch freezing method. It allows us to have much better granular control over the content of the ice cream, and is generally regarded as the gold standard in ice cream manufacturing.
